Toib Olomowewe

Toib Olomowewe is Head of Employee and Industrial Relations for Shell UK. Prior to this, Toib held a number of HR and People Leadership roles, both internationally and in the UK. Before moving into the private sector, Toib was Head of Economics at a school in East London, having trained as a teacher through the Teach First Leadership Development programme.


Toib is also an active volunteer. He is currently Chair Of Trustees at the award-winning arts and culture charity Ramadan Tent Project and was previously a Trustee of Football Beyond Borders, and education and inclusion charity using the power of football to change the lives of young people.

Mujina Kaindama

Mujina is a soon to be British Diplomat. Currently she works as a Senior Trade Policy Adviser at the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT). She holds a degree in Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies and a postgraduate degree in Law, Anthropology and Society from the London School of Economics. Before pursuing a career in international affairs, Mujina briefly worked in journalism and in international development. In her spare time Mujina can be found doodling or helping with children’s crafts at church.

Obi Okereke

Obi has worked as a Senior Operations Manager for a tech quick commerce company, specialising in grocery delivery. Before this, Obi worked for Amazon with roles including UK Project Manager and Operations Manager. His work in Amazon led him to manage DEI projects across the EU, with worldwide impact. Obi has also worked as an Operations Manager in the biggest Amazon warehouse in Europe and at a tender age worked at building and empowering strong teams. His operation was responsible for shipping 1 million units per week, ensuring that customers get their orders when expected, and even before.


Outside of his professional career, in education, Obi studied international Economics & Trade at Coventry University then continued on to study MSc Management at Loughborough University. 


Obi’s involvement with Aleto spans back to 2018. He completed the Aleto x BT summer leadership program in 2018 and has since stayed in Aleto as Chief Buddy, Senior Advisor to the Buddy Program and Senior Leadership Team. Also, currently sits on the Alumni Advisory Board, working closely with fellow board members to work strategically on how they can improve the experience and engagement of the current alumni across the foundation.  


Outside of Aleto, Obi has the pleasure of sitting on advisory boards advising on social mobility and business development. He has also co-founded a clothing line, worked as a freelance strategy consultant and has created his own social mobility foundation, looking at engaging students from minority backgrounds in underrepresented towns.

Viola Kanu

Over the past eight years, Viola has been an advocate of social justice and a recent senior leader in education. Viola is passionate about inspiring others to discover their authentic purpose. She has been honoured to have had many profound and revolutionary leaders pour into her journey, and takes delight in doing the same for others. Viola enjoys the power of community, utilising expertise, exploring narratives, and sharing victories. This senior leadership programme is a perfect opportunity for Viola to network with different future leaders and discover new opportunities in a different field. She is excited to be taking part in this programme to experience further personal development, capitalise on her strengths and better understand how she can improve her weaknesses. Furthermore, She is willing to learn how to facilitate life-changing events like these that will bridge communities and empower the future leaders of tomorrow. Viola has recently started a side venture of content creation linked to lifestyle, faith and property. In her spare time, she enjoys the finer things of life, socialising with family and friends and exploring serene and vast places.

Bernard Baidoo

Bernard Baidoo is a seasoned financial services professional with over a decade of experience in the banking industry. He possesses a strong track record of successfully developing strategy, managing finance, and mitigating risk at a Group level. His leadership style is inclusive, allowing him to effectively manage both specialist and generic teams, and stakeholders (senior and junior), directly (up to 15) and indirectly (c.500) across different functions and divisions, centred around shared goals.

 

Bernard's educational background includes an MBA from Imperial College London and a BSc in Pharmacology from University College London (UCL). 

 

In his most recent role as the Head of Technology Strategy Execution at Lloyds Banking Group, Bernard led the development and implementation of the Group's Technology Strategy, directly impacting c.40k colleagues, by defining and incorporating a set of target outcomes for execution within a federated Platform delivery model, to achieve £1bn in gross cost savings.

 

Prior to this, Bernard served as a Senior Manager in various capacities, including Group Investment Management, Stress Testing, and Multi-Channel Strategy Development, where he consistently delivered impressive results and led significant initiatives that contributed to the organisation's success.

 

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bernard is a dedicated mentor demonstrating his commitment to personal and community development. He is fluent in English and Ghanaian (Akan/Twi) and enjoys sports, travel, and exploring diverse cuisines.

Marcus-Alexander Neil

Marcus-Alexander Neil is DelAgua’s most recent joiner having spent over 9 years at Shell in a host of policy, communications, social performance, strategy and commercial roles. Before joining DelAgua, Marcus was the Global Carbon Programme Manager for Shell’s Aviation business; working with airlines, airports, OEMs, SMEs, governments, and academics to plot a commercially viable path to net-zero for the industry.

 

Carbon offsets are an integral part of decarbonisation pathways for hard-to-abate sectors and having developed and managed Shell Aviation’s global carbon offset offer, Marcus joined DelAgua as the Carbon Sales Manager, overseeing all carbon trading activity. In this role, Marcus will develop routes to market for our increasingly significant issuances.

 

Marcus, based in London, holds a master's in Engineering Sciences from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Public Policy from King’s College, London. A keen sportsman, Marcus captained Ghana’s Rugby League Team in 2019 and has strong personal ties to the continent. As such, his current role marries his education, expertise within the carbon markets and passion for development.

Anthony Opoku

Anthony completed the inaugural Aleto programme in 2011, when it was known as the Powerlist summer school.

 

His professional journey has predominantly revolved around financial services, with a brief stint in the public sector. Today, I am a Senior Business Analyst at Coventry Building Society (CBS), with a focus on Cyber Security. Within CBS, Anthony leads a team of three business analysts, overseeing the business analysis approach for the Cyber Security portfolio. 

 

At CBS, Anthony is also a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Group. Where they collaborate with colleagues to shape and refine CBS's Diversity and Inclusion strategy. This involvement has fuelled his passion for promoting inclusivity in the workplace. 

 

Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of spearheading initiatives such as digitising processes for the NHS, conducting critical evaluations of organisational structures, managing analysis on an Oracle Upgrade programme, and most recently, overseeing the RFP process for a new Identity and Governance Administration tool. 

 

 Anthony enjoys leveraging technology to resolve complex issues, mentoring junior colleagues, and helping others adopt a long-term perspective in their decision making.

Abeid Nooryni

Abeid is a senior IT product manager at Shell working in the Fleet Solutions and commercial road transport space. He leads a cross-functional team with a multi-million dollar budget to deliver various electric mobility propositions to Shell’s business customers. Abeid has been at Shell since 2017 holding roles in strategy and delivery.

Abeid sits on the committee of Shell UK’s Black Employee Network, where he’s led several STEM outreach programmes with London schools. It’s Abeid’s hope that we continue to see a growing representation of black executive leaders who walk a path that others can follow.

Karen Brese

Karen is a conscientious and pragmatic programme manager, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to utilise creativity to solve complex problems. Karen is a Senior Programme Manager within Faithful and Gould specialising in transformation and change management with experience in successfully designing and implementing governance and reporting models, target operating models and reforming processes in conjunction with updating the tools and technology that supports them. She is committed to making a difference and making a positive impact in programmes that have an effect on society. Karen is also the co-chair of the Embrace Network (Ethnic minority network) where she regularly challenges the senior leadership in the company to make a real difference. Alongside this, Karen has a passion for drama and storytelling!

Tendai Danny Matimba

Danny Matimba is a Chartered Account with seven years’ experience working in Audit. He

currently works as a Group Fund Controller for Frogmore, a Private Equity Fund Manager

that specialises in Real Estate in London and other parts of the UK.


In addition to this, he offers advisory and professional services to a Zimbabwean solar

energy company that is focused on the provision of green solar power across the continent

of Africa.


Danny was born and raised in Zimbabwe, where at present, there are great disparities in the

quality of education available to students. As someone who has had access to great

educational opportunities, Danny recognises the power of education. This inspired him to

co-found Imabwe, an outreach programme that funds the tuition and educational essentials

for underprivileged primary school students in Zimbabwe.


In Danny’s spare time he enjoys socialising with friends, travelling and watching football; he

is an avid Arsenal fan!

Taofiq Akinpeju

Taofiq is a doer. He is a proven Product Manager & Business Development Professional with near a decade's worth of experience in a range of Commercial and Front office roles. He has also had direct sales experience, managing a P&L across a variety of products, industries and sectors in B2B. Taofiq has led multiple development teams as a Product Manager to create customer-centric solutions that drive immediate commercial value while navigating the complexity of developing local solutions that scale to other geographical regions. He is very comfortable operating in unstable environments with a high degree of ambiguity and complex stakeholder incentives. He also has real-world experience and a personal passion for developing solutions that simultaneously address current realities and future trends to deliver compelling commercial positions.

Lanre Findley

Lanre currently works as a change lead in Colleague Tech at OVO Energy. 


He is passionate about change management, diversity and inclusion. His previous experience in banking and financial services, where he led and participated in a range of D&I initiatives that were designed to make the organisation more inclusive and align with their strategic aims. 


This included creating a reverse mentoring scheme, positioning colleagues in the community to have positive social impact and challenging our D&I data for positive change. 


The majority of his achievements, especially the ones that he is most proud of include impacting communities, customers and people who really need it. 


From playing a pivotal role in running Edinburgh’s Ukrainian displaced people centre which received 11000 people and circulated 1.6m in donations to building LGBTQ+ focused entrepreneurial workshops that encouraged and educated young future business leaders. 


Lanre is adept in building solutions and demonstrating their effectiveness, and maintaining momentum through periods of change and uncertainty.  Through creating programmes that impact people's everyday life, he gained an understanding of the importance of understanding people and their realities.

Teslim Akinpeju

Teslim is an accomplished Chartered Civil Engineer with a decade of experience in the design, planning, and management of a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects. Known for his practical approach, Teslim is accustomed to overseeing complex work streams simultaneously, crafting and implementing strategies to drive projects forward in accordance with client requirements and timescales.


As a leader, he takes pride in nurturing and guiding teams to achieve their goals. Teslim's strong interpersonal and communication skills make it easy for him to connect with colleagues and clients, fostering productive working relationships.

Teslim has a proven track record of delivering tangible results and is committed to bringing efficiency and innovation to every project he tackles.


With a genuine passion for creating practical infrastructure and engineering solutions, Teslim is dedicated to making a positive impact on the built environment.

In joining the Leadership programme, Teslim hopes to further expand his leadership skills and strategic thinking, whilst also exploring opportunities to make an impact to our built environment through the green energy sector.
