I'm David, the CEO

We're proud to have impacted over 1050 young people through leadership and mentoring programmes. And we've partnered with over 40 businesses to make that happen.

The Aleto Foundation corporate club brings together a network of purpose driven businesses. We're passionate about impact the next generation of future leaders.

Like you, we care about giving underrepresented young people the support they need to progress in their careers.

So when you join the community, as well as enjoying all the benefits that come with it, you see the impact that your support creates.

Why people join

My mentoring experience with Aleto was superb. My mentee was pro-active, committed and focused which provided a great platform on which to build a strong relationship. To be part of their journey of learning, growth and development was a real privilege and I highly recommend getting involved.

Maria Spooner, Head of Responsible Business Consultancy at St. James’s Place

The opportunity to learn directly from young Aleto programme members trying to overcome challenging backgrounds has been outstanding learning for all involved. Whilst we can help each mentee prepare for the world of work, it should not be underestimated how much we have also learned through this process. And we really enjoyed the intern that came to us through the Aleto Foundation.

Nick Robeson, Managing Partner at Boyden

Partnering with the Aleto Foundation is one of the most meaningful and impactful things I've done here at OVO. The programmes we're running together have allowed OVO to connect with incredibly talented young people who have definitely made a lasting impact. In my opinion Aleto are one of the best examples of the amazing things that happen when diversity and excellence come together!

Alex Storer, Head of Inclusion & Belonging at OVO

FAQs

  • What is the CEO Social Mobility Dinner?

This dinner will bring together all the Aleto Foundation partners to enjoy an evening of celebration, networking and inspiration. More details will be shared closer to the time.

  • How will the money be used?

Your donation will fund leadership and mentoring programmes for young people, keeping them free of charge for delegates. Each young person's place on a leadership programme and 9-month mentoring programme costs approximately £500.

  • Can we partner in other ways?

If you are looking for other ways to impact future leaders, engage your staff and make a social impact, we can partner to create new programmes or initiatives. Please contact emmanuel@aletofoundation.org.uk.

  • How does the online mentoring work?

You and/or your colleagues will participate in a 9-month mentoring relationship with a delegate. All delegates have completed a leadership programme before. You'll meet at least 1 hour per month and work together to achieve a personal development goal. We provide an onboarding session and 3 training sessions.

  • Who can be a mentor?

Mentors are people in a management position and above from any ethnic background. We provide training and welcome experienced and new mentors.

  • How do we share job positions with your alumni?

Our marketing executive will request your job description and share this with our network of 1050+ alumni through email and private chat groups. When candidates come forward, we'll share CVs and cover letters with you.

  • How do the insight events work?

We'll organise an insight event for up to 4 hours with 10 delegates at your office or virtual. Our programme manager will find and bring young people most interested and aligned to your opportunity.

  • What is the Black History Month event?

We have access to Black senior leaders who've led world-class businesses and have amazing stories. Our leaders include OBE holders, ex-FTSE 250 CEOs, CXOs, Founders and trailblazers. Many of our senior leaders would charge £2000+ for a keynote speech. We'll work with you to organise a talk about Black leadership for your company to celebrate Black History Month.

  • What is the leadership challenge workshop?

The leadership challenge workshop gives your senior leaders a spectacular skills-based volunteering day. 10 delegates will shadow your senior leaders, learn about their career journeys, and take part in speed networking and power mentoring sessions. Days typically last from 10am-4pm at your office. It's a great way to engage senior leaders and attract future leaders to your company.

  • How long is the commitment?

The initial commitment is for 1 year, but you are welcome to make a multi-year commitment.
